Getting there on P2v2 now – managed to salvage a few bits of v1 and supplement with a lot more practical examples – hopefully makes for a useful walkthrough and doubles up as a flyby guide to using P2

P2 scripted, soundtracked, and sketched out – recording/animating underway. A 90 second visual ode to a rather lovely theme

Some feedback on this.
Commentary that puts the world to right? Not sure what that means.
No browser refresh necessary is muddy.
Would have liked to see a comment posting AJAXy.
The fact that things come in real-time, including comments, isn’t really communicated. (Really important.)
A widget-powered sidebar isn’t very interesting, maybe mentioned more briefly in context of “Because it’s a WordPress theme, you have complete control over the display and layout.”
Didn’t show iPhone access or version.
Every screen is constantly rotating or moving, it’s hard to focus on what’s actually happening inside it.
No mention of how we use it like an internal Twitter. (But of course if you wanted to post something longer, you could.)
The fact that comments are on the homepage, inline, threaded, and real-time is alluded to but not really explicit.
Inline editing is really cool, but not shown.
Growl-like notifications for new content

So you in other words – you loved it
Simpler, cleaner, more expository version coming up. Only slight problem with showing a lot of the real-time stuff is I’ve been getting hit and miss results with things doing what they should (bane of screencasts – web apps know when they’re being photographed and get shy). Will see if it’s a browser issue and get some more people to add stuff in realtime, so as to avoid an endless stream of me and can probably fake anything that acts up.

Missed you there. Sequence of days events goes:
1. Check P2s before the day starts
2. Get up and have breakfast
3. Log in and start work
Testament to the addictive nature of P2ing?

Thanks! I was just having a few issues with the yellow highlighting and load times (web slow in general today for some reason, probably the drilling times) on the ajaxy stuff. Will do a system reboot, purge browsers and see if it helps – have never seen this before in months of using P2 so figure it’s the curse of “recording on” that plagues screencasts
